Graphic designer and artist Dan Reisinger (1934-2019) was born in Serbia and emigrated to Israel in 1949. Reisinger designed many political and cultural posters as well as over 150 corporate logos. His work includes the logo and advertisements for Israel's El Al airlines. Reisinger received the Israel Prize, the nation’s highest recognition for professional achievement.

Between 1992 and 1997, Poster Auctions International commissioned leading international graphic designers to create the advertising posters for its auctions. Reisinger’s contribution for the 18th auction features a tree of life made up of the letters for “poster auction” and the letters for the Hebrew word chai. Chai means life and also symbolizes the number 18 in Hebrew numerology.
