Michael Gericke has been a partner in the New York office of renowned design firm Pentagram since 1985. Gericke works in many areas of graphic design, including visual identities and environmental graphics, and he has been particularly active in designing graphic systems for the redevelopment of Lower Manhattan since 9/11.

Gericke has a long-standing relationship with the American Institute of Architects (AIA). He designed a wonderful series of posters for their annual fundraising event, the Heritage Ball, including this 1999 design featuring a New York City skyline within the outline of a hand (perhaps the architect’s hand).

This poster is beautifully printed on extremely thick paper.
