Tadanori Yokoo (1936- ) is one of the best known Japanese graphic designers. Although he has focused since the early 1980s primarily on painting, his poster designs from the earlier part of his career are still highly regarded and sought after. Yokoo’s wild psychedelic collages incorporating elements of Western pop culture and Eastern mysticism have been exhibited all over the world.

This poster advertises an auction at Poster Auctions International in New York. Between 1992 and 1997, the auction house commissioned leading international graphic designers to create the advertising posters for its sales. For his contribution to the poster series, Tanadori Yokoo created a mysterious collage of Asian symbols and cupid-filled eyes.
