Acclaimed British graphic designer Tom Eckersley (1914-1997) is considered one of his country’s foremost poster artists. Eckersley was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 1948 for his services to poster design. He was also treasured as a leading graphic design educator. Eckersley’s posters communicate powerfully through simple images and bold, flat colors.

This poster advertises a visiting week for prospective students at the London College of Printing, where Eckersley served as Head of Graphic Design from 1957 to 1977.
