Hannes Meyer (1889-1954), the subject of a 1990 exhibition at the Zurich design museum, was a Swiss architect and educator. He served as director of the Bauhaus school from 1928 to 1930. Meyer lived and worked in the Soviet Union from 1933 to 1936 – a period represented here by Meyer’s name written in Cyrillic characters.
