Dutch designer Daan Rietbergen (1988) worked at Studio Dumbar from 2014 to 2019 and now works independently out of his Utrecht studio. His work focuses on visual identity, typography and poster design.
While at Studio Dumbar, Rietbergen designed a series of posters for the Amsterdam Sinfonietta, an internationally renowned music ensemble and longtime Studio Dumbar client. His typographically-driven posters were honored as winners in the Type Director’s Club annual design competition in 2019.
In this poster, Rietbergen offers a very contemporary take on the music of 18th-century composer and cellist Luigi Boccherini (1743-1805), with typography that captures the timeless sensation of musical vibrations.
