Renowned Swiss graphic designer and educator Josef Müller-Brockmann (1914-1996) is known for developing and promoting a minimalist, objective style of graphic design based on strict grid layouts and sans-serif typography. During the 1970s, the style Müller-Brockmann and his Swiss colleagues developed became popular outside of Switzerland as the Swiss Style (also known as the International Typographic Style). The influence of Swiss Style design continues to be felt around the world, particularly in corporate identity and pubic signage systems. Müller-Brockmann’s posters are highly sought-after as original examples of the Swiss style.

An avid music fan, Müller-Brockmann designed many posters for Swiss concerts, including his well-known posters for the Zurich Tonholle and the Zurich Opernhaus. In 1995, Müller-Brockmann allowed New York silkscreen printer Ambassador Arts/Serigrafia to make limited-edition reproductions of three of his most beloved concert posters. Müller-Brockmann had intended to sign the posters, but he died before the project’s completion.

The reprint is beautifully printed on heavy paper.

The only variation from the original poster is the credit indicating the 1995 limited-edition printing.
