Swiss designers Jörg Hamburger (1935-) and Georg Staehelin (1942-) both studied at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel under esteemed designers Armin Hofmann and Emil Ruder. They collaborated on many graphic design projects, including this 1983 poster for an industrial design exhibition at the Museum für Gestaltung (Design Museum) Zürich. The “D” for design is a simple yet powerful letterform that merges two- and three-dimensional space.
