Swiss designer Max Bill (1908-1994) was a titan in many fields, including architecture, industrial design, graphic design and typography. He trained at the Bauhaus in Germany, established a multidisciplinary design firm in Zurich, and then returned to Germany to help found the Ulm School of Design. Bill wrote and lectured extensively, spreading his modern functionalist approach to design projects. Late in his career, he designed this poster for an exhibition on the architect Le Corbusier at the Zurich design museum.
